The foreshore of Kingston (ACT) is certainly becoming a buzzing hub of good food with the added bonus of a great outlook. Today’s beautiful sunshine called for brunch somewhere with a view… I didn’t need a better excuse to visit Local Press. The cafe epitomises my attitude towards meal time, “wholefoods based cafe, specialising in wholesome, honest food and Cold Pressed juices”.
The cafe itself is quite eye catching, with views of the expansive kitchen, ladders hanging from the ceiling, industrial lights and knick knacks lining the walls.
The menu provided a number of options from ham and egg breakfast sandwich (which Eliza sampled – BEST. LEG. HAM. EVER) to a green pea pancake with poached eggs, guacamole, crushed feta, mint & chives, dressed with house pomegranate-balsamic reduction (which I devoured). Cold press juicers were another highlight, and the coffee smelt delicious.
